Welcome to Fork on a Road, where food is medicine and cooking is an act of love. Inspired by Ayurvedic principles and New England’s seasons, we create and provide small-batch spice blends, vegetarian meal kits, and hands-on cooking classes. Every product is designed to help you cook with intention, eat seasonally, and discover that the most powerful medicine is already in your kitchen—one delicious meal at a time.
When life gives you a fork, take it! That old saying sparked Fork on a Road—a fresh start, a new perspective, and ultimately, a business built on the belief that food is medicine. After a couple of life-changing events, I decided to dedicate myself to being more present, and I found that center in food—in the mindful act of cooking, the joy of sharing a meal, and the deep wellbeing that comes from nourishing ourselves and others.
My culinary adventure makes stops between Bihar, Bombay and Boston, honoring recipes passed down through generations of my family while celebrating what New England’s seasons provide. Today, Fork on a Road is a small-batch CPG brand offering artisanal spice blends rooted in Ayurvedic tradition, vegetarian meal kits that make seasonal cooking accessible and joyful, and cooking classes that build community around the table.
You’ll find me at farmers markets across Massachusetts, teaching seasonal workshops, and constantly experimenting with new flavor combinations in my kitchen. I’ve been featured in Edible Boston and Boston Globe and have collaborated with local farms and food artisans to build a community of home cooks who believe that good food changes everything.
Real recipes from my kitchen to yours—these are the dishes I make for my family, teach in my cooking classes, and share at farmers markets. Every recipe here is tested, approachable, and designed to work with seasonal ingredients and the spice blends you love. Filter by what’s fresh right now, browse by the spice or meal kit you just bought, or explore recipes that support your wellness goals. You’ll find practical guidance, the wellness wisdom behind each ingredient, and clear instructions to build your confidence in the kitchen. Cook one tonight, share your version with us on Instagram @forkonaroad, and become part of the Fork on a Road table.
These products tell the story of now—small-batch spices blended this week and meal kits celebrating peak harvest. Limited quantities while the season lasts.
Every spice blend and meal kit I create is rooted in the Ayurvedic principle that food is medicine. Spices aren’t just seasoning: turmeric reduces inflammation, cumin aids digestion, cardamom calms the nervous system. These aren’t just family traditions; they’re ancestral knowledge backed by modern science, passed down through generations of my family and now adapted for today’s home cook.
But the healing power of food goes beyond spices. Eating seasonally connects us to nature’s rhythms and ensures we’re nourishing our bodies with what they need most at each time of year. Plant-based proteins like lentils, chickpeas, and beans provide complete nutrition while being gentle on our bodies and the planet, proving that vegetarian eating can be both deeply satisfying and powerfully restorative.
My spice blends carry stories from my matriarchal kitchen, inspiration from my sisters, and the bold flavors of my immigrant pantry—each one designed to warm, cool, and balance the body. My meal kits make it simple to eat with the seasons, incorporating protein-rich legumes and whole grains that sustain and heal. Whether you’re roasting vegetables for a weeknight dinner or hosting a celebration, every product helps you cook with intention, eat with joy, and nourish with purpose.

This Garam Masala holds the memories of sitting at the kitchen table, watching Ma cook aloo-dum, Banarasi style, or tasting the stuffing while folding singhoras (Calcutta’s samosas). My family’s palate is a tapestry woven from the regions between Banaras and Calcutta, where Papa lived, studied, and worked.
When I first walked into Curio’s store in Cambridge, I felt that same warmth—like a spice hug, where the world melts away and joy is around the corner. Sharing our family’s recipe with Claire felt natural, so that we could bring this flavor from my corner of India to yours.
